Breast & Bottle Feeding Algorithm

Purpose:

A multi-step algorithm to guide oral feeding practices in the neonate. 

It includes several criteria, use cases, and clinical decision guidelines to apply the right feeding protocol.

The algorithm was developed with evidence-based principles, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and an individualized and family-centered approach to caring for the neonate.

Population: 

infants born <34 weeks
